10 Biography Lisa Foster President, 1 Bag at a Time, Inc. Lisa Foster helped introduce reusable bags to American consumers when she founded 1 Bag at a Time in Since then, 1 Bag at a Time, Inc. has sold over 20 million bags in the US and continues to lead in new bag products and trends in US markets. Lisa is a founding member of the Reusable Bag Industry Coalition, a member of the corporate board of Northeastern University, and has consulted with legislators from around the country on carry-out bag policies. Foster writes and speaks on bag policy issues and social entrepreneurship. A graduate of the Putney School and UC Berkeley, Foster holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and taught English before starting 1 Bag at a Time. 11 FAQs 1. What are SnapSac totes made of? Our foldable totes are made from non-woven polypropylene. It s similar to the fabric found in many grocery bags but ours is 35% thicker than the average grocery bag, so they are more durable and wear better. Our insulated bags are laminated NWPP outside, foam for insulation, and reflective aluminum inside. 2. Can you wash SnapSac totes? SnapSac totes are machine washable, cold water, line dry. Use hand wash or gentle cycle to minimuze fading. Insulated totes: wipe clean. 3. Where are your bags made? Our bags are made in China. We belive in protecting the rights and dignity of all workers everywhere. We monitor our factories for compliance with our social responsibility policy using the non-profit organization Verite whose work in labor rights is award winning and recognized world wide. 4. Do SnapSacs come in other colors? We are planning new colors twice a year. Look for new colors by June. 5. What is the minimum quantity to buy wholesale?
