4 FACIAL TREATMENTS All [ comfort zone ] treatments are carried out using massaging techniques. This improves blood circulation, making it easier for toxins to be removed and for the ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin. The products used are rich in natural ingredients and are free from silicones, parabens and ingredients of animal origin. Each treatment starts with a welcome ritual, designed to relax both body and mind. Everyone s skin is different and therefore needs personalised care and attention. Our beauticians are specialised in skin analysis and the methods involved in it. This enables them to draw up a personalised treatment plan just for you. Kobido,which means path to beauty, is a stimulating Japanese facial massage that activates collagen and elastin fibres. Body Strategist Cellulite Treatment 50 minutes 64,50 An intensive treatment specifically aimed at tackling blemishes due to cellulite. This treatment is aimed at improving the silhouette and stimulates the breakdown of fat in the most problematic zones through harnessing the power of natural ingredients. Body Strategist Toning Treatment 50 minutes 64,50 This is the perfect treatment to firm your skin and to stimulate the senses. It involves a customised body pack and a nourishing and firming cocoon wrap. This treatment has a regenerative effect on the skin, stimulating the production of collagen. Hot Stone massage 50 minutes 67,50 A hot stone massage involves the use of hot volcanic basalt stones. This massage is relaxing and has various beneficial effects on the body, such as the elimination of toxins, the relaxation of tense muscles and the reduction of stress. Shiatsu 50 minutes 67,50 Shiatsu is a type of massage that has been used for thousands of years. It involves manipulation using the thumbs, fingers and palms of the hands with pressure exerted on the skin to correct internal imbalances, promote or maintain health, and support recovery from specific complaints. Shiatsu also boosts the body s self-healing powers. This treatment opens blockages at physical, emotional and mental level and restores balance. Pretty face 45 minutes 59,50 A wonderfully relaxing facial, specially designed for young skin. The skin is thoroughly cleansed and soothed, leading to a fresh, radiant complexion. Pretty hands 45 minutes 59,50 During this treatment, your nails are filed into shape and buffed so that they shine. Your cuticles are also tended to. The treatment is rounded off with the application of polish to your nails. Pretty feet 45 minutes 59,50 Your feet are soothed by immersion in a wonderful foot bath. Next, they are exfoliated and then a nourishing cream is applied. To finish, your toenails are painted. Pretty body 45 minutes 59,50 This body treatment serves as an introduction to various massage techniques, including hot stone and aromasoul massage. 10

Mini manicure 25 minutes 34,50 This is a treatment for both women and men. During this treatment, your nails are filed into shape and buffed so that they shine. Your hands are scrubbed and are then treated to a hand bath. Finally, your hands are massaged using a massage cream. Manicure 50 minutes 64,50 During this treatment, your nails are filed into shape and buffed so that they shine. Your hands are scrubbed and massaged using a wonderful massage cream. You can then choose to have your nails painted using a base coat, a coloured polish and a top coat, or to have a paraffin hand mask treatment including a skin peel, or to have alessandro International Striplac applied. Pedicure 45 minutes 59,50 During this treatment, your nails are trimmed and hard skin and corns are removed. A foot cream containing spirulina and with caring properties is then rubbed into your feet. This treatment is also suitable for men. Cosmetic pedicure 50 minutes 64,50 This treatment is pure indulgence for your feet. It consists of a comprehensive foot care procedure that includes a foot and lower leg skin peel and a refreshing pack. The treatment is rounded off with the use of a wonderful, nourishing cream. You can then choose to have your nails painted using a base coat, a coloured polish and a top coat, or to have a paraffin foot mask treatment including skin peel, or to have alessandro International Striplac applied. Combination foot pedicure 85 minutes 89,50 This luxurious pedicure treatment is a real soothing treat for your feet. This treatment is a combination of the two pedicures above. Afterwards, your nails are lacquered with a colour chosen by you. 11

12 SAUNA, GYM AND MORE Hof van Saksen boasts extensive sauna facilities. There are a number of different saunas and between sauna treatments you can enjoy a light lunch, a snack and a drink. This is where your body and mind achieve total relaxation. Finish sauna 60 C and 90 C The pleasant heat of the Finnish sauna allows you to achieve total relaxation. Stones are heated in the sauna to produce a dry or humid heat, depending on whether water is poured onto the stones or not. When you visit the Finnish sauna, your pulse increases, improving your circulation. As you perspire, your skin is cleansed, while the heat opens up the pores, allowing toxins to be released. The Finnish sauna also has a beneficial effect on the immune system. Turkish steam bath 55 C The Turkish steam bath offers both relaxation and enjoyment. It consists of a room heated to around 55 C with humidity levels of almost 100%. The heat and humidity on your skin cause the pores to open up, expelling any dirt and harmful toxins and leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth. The warmth and steam are also beneficial to your airways, helping you to breathe more easily. Infrared sauna 70 C The infrared sauna is a moderately warm room in which the heat of the infrared heaters is transmitted to the body without the intervention of air. The infrared rays are wonderfully relaxing and are effective in easing tired or painful muscles. Infrared radiation is also good for burning calories, combatting viruses and bacteria, and helping to cleanse your skin, which can reduce acne, eczema and cellulite. 12

13 Plunge pools There are two plunge pools in the Spa & Wellness Centre. A plunge pool offers a quick way to cool down and produces an intense tingling sensation all over your skin. This sudden drop in temperature fires up the blood cells, improving your circulation. Footbath It s a good idea to warm up your feet in the footbath before entering the sauna. The temperature of the water will open up the pores and improve circulation. This will make it easier for your body to perspire in the sauna. You can also use the footbath when you come out of the sauna to help bring your body back to a pleasant temperature. Jacuzzi Once you have cooled down from the sauna, why not take a relaxing dip in the bubbles? The water jets and air bubbles create a relaxing effect. You will find the Jacuzzi outside in our sauna garden, where there are also relaxing loungers for you to use. 13

Come along and make use of our modern gym, which houses professional equipment for working on every muscle group. So make sure you pack your indoor trainers, sportswear and a towel so that you can make full use of the workout options at the resort, free of charge. Gym access is only for resort guests and only for ages 16 and over. Gym towel rental 2,00 External guests If you live near to Hof van Saksen and would like to come and use our sauna facilities or enjoy one of our treatments, you will be made very welcome at our Spa & Wellness Centre. 15 SPA ETIQUETTE Our Spa & Wellness Centre is a place of relaxation and tranquillity. All of our guests have the right to privacy and peace. Please turn off your mobile telephone while you are in the Spa & Wellness Centre. Good to know We recommend booking the various treatments and massages in advance to avoid disappointment. In the interests of hygiene, a towel must be used for sitting on and resting the feet on while in the sauna (except in the Turkish steam bath). Towels can be rented from the desk in the Spa. For pre-booked treatments, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your treatment is due to take place. The treatment times given are indicative and include any explanations, changing and/or showering. We recommend that you take plenty of rest and drink sufficient amounts following a treatment. This will allow the treatment to have the optimum effect. Anyone under the age of 18 must obtain permission from a parent/carer before undergoing treatments or massages. A parent/carer must be present during the treatment of children under the age of 14 (except in the case of treatments specially designed for children). Sauna admission is restricted to those aged 16 and over. Food and drinks brought into the premises may not be consumed in our Spa & Wellness Centre. Health requirements Please inform us beforehand (when making your booking) about any allergies or injuries that might affect your treatment. Please provide the person providing the treatment with any relevant information, including medical details, before the treatment takes place and preferably on making the booking. For example, please tell us if you are pregnant or suffer from high blood pressure, have heart problems, epilepsy, etc., and if you are currently being treated by a specialist. In the event of doubt or if you have any specific questions, please consult your GP/specialist. Pregnant? We have treatments designed especially for expectant mothers. Our team can help you choose which treatment is most suitable for you during this special time. Cancellation policy Hof van Saksen reserves the right to: charge you 50% of the price for the treatment booked in the event of a cancellation a minimum of 24 hours before the planned treatment time. charge you 75% of the price for the treatment booked in the event of a cancellation between 12 and 24 hours before the planned treatment time. charge you 100% of the price for the treatment booked in the event of a cancellation within 12 hours of the planned treatment time.
