2 WELCOME Welcome to Nelson Livestock Company s 2013 Bull Sale. Your interest in our program is appreciated. Nelson Livestock Company continues to try to develop range ready bulls that will go out and cover lots of cows and maintain or gain weight on grass and furnish you the top cutting edge genetics available. Genetics that can convert roughage, help sire high weaning feeders with carcass merit that is in high demand! And also raise top high producing females with longevity. The ASA indexes, API (All purpose index), and TI (Terminal Index) are real helpful in selecting the correct sires for your operation. You would use API if you are retaining any females and TI if you are selling all steers and females. Visit with us for more information on these two selection tools. The bulls have been running in a 25 acre pasture getting lots of exercise and were fed creep pellets after weaning, grass hay, grass ensilage, and Nutralix. After the first of the year, we added some corn and supplement. The bulls are developed for longevity and good breeding ability. Thanks to the crew at the Wibaux Vet Clinic for help with our health program. We continue to work with Allied Genetic Resources and have joined forces with Superior Livestock to offer a marketing option for our customers. They will also be posted to our website as soon as we get them, or call us for results. Delivery Arrangements: Bulls will be delivered free up to 300 miles in April. For delivery on bulls over 300 miles, Nelson Livestock Co will guarantee trucking, not to exceed $250/head in the continental USA, if arranged by Nelson Livestock Co. If the bulls are picked up sale day, deduct $ If bulls are not picked up sale day, we recommend that you insure your bull. They become your property when they are sold. The buyer will get 100% of the walking rights and salvage value and 2/3 of the semen rights. Health Program: Nelson Livestock Co uses a comprehensive vaccination and health monitoring program.
