Clothing impregnation Top material is equipped by a sufficient impregnation PETROGUARD that secures protection against water and chemicals. The producer of the material guarantees min. 30 cycles before any re-impregnation when the laundering instructions are followed. Impregnation efficiency in real conditions may differ from the measured laboratory results and is influenced by several factors. Keep your garment clean. For recovery of the treatment we recommend additional drying in the tumbler at temperature 70 C for 15 minutes! Perform the additional drying on closed garment from the face side after each maintenance (washing + drying). Protective function of the clothing and a list of harmonized norms: The clothing serves as a protection of fire fighter s body during fire-fighting and during associated activities with an exception of the actions with a presence of chemicals or gases (it only covers a possibility of accidental sprinkle by chemical or flammable liquids). The clothing can be also used as a part of complete grounded system in order to avoid any inflammable discharges (with an exception of environment with atmosphere enriched by oxygen and protection against electric voltage in distribution networks). The clothing is also used for the protection against unfavourable weather (for example rain, snow), fog and earth water content as well as against cold environment. The clothing protects upper as well as bottom part of body, including neck, arms up to wrists and legs up to ankles according to the above-described standard. The clothing in combination with other protective measures safety helmet, gloves, hood, and shoes - provides a complex protection of fire fighter against risks determined in the respective standards: ČSN EN ISO 13688:2014 (EN ISO 13688:2013) (for construction No. 1, 2, 3) ČSN EN :2008 ( EN :2008) ( for construction No. 1, 2, 3) Protective clothing General requirements Protective clothing Electrostatic properties 5

ČSN EN 469:2015/A1:2015/Opr. 1:2015 ( EN 469:2005/A1:2006/AC:2006) Protective clothing for firefighters. Requirements and test methods for protective clothing for firefighters Level of protection achieved effectiveness of protective clothing Heat transfer - flame level 2 Heat transfer radiation level 2 Resistance to water penetration level 2 Water vapour resistance level 2 level 1 lower level of technical use (technical intervention car accidents and so on) level 2 higher level of technical use (fire fighting in closed place) Prediction of burn injury according to ISO (for construction No. 1) 2nd burn degree - 3,28 % 3rd burn degree - 4,92 % Total burn prediction area (2nd and 3rd degree) 8,20 % ČSN EN 342:2004/opr.1:2008 (EN 342:2004/AC:2008) (for construction No. 1, 2) Protective clothing Ensembles and garments for protection against cold 6

Level of protection achieved effectiveness of protective clothing Effective thermal insulation I cler -0, 357 m 2.K/W ( with NOMEX Comfort, 200g/m2) -0,405 m 2.K/W ( with THERMO Ultra, 200g/m2 ) Air permeability - level 3 Resistance to water penetration - level 2 ČSN EN 343:2004+A1:2008/Opr ( EN 343:2003+A1:2007/AC:2009) (for construction No. 1, 2) Protective clothing Protection against rain Level of protection achieved effectiveness of protective clothing Resistance against water penetration - level 3 Water vapour resistance - level 3 Clothing service life Duration of the protective clothing using is not fixed. Expected service life is within the range from 4 to 7 years in case of average utilization. It is protective clothing which means that it can be damaged during some working activity. In such case the following steps have to be done: Clean the clothing according to the instructions Ensure skilled revision of the clothing by a responsible person (producer, skilled distributor, or skilled person of a particular fire station) In case of need repair it (to ensure safety the clothing should be repaired at the PRODUCER or a trained person) In case of excessive damage and failure of the protective properties of the clothing when the repair is not worthwhile, we recommend to put out of use 7

Maintenance: We recommend delicate washing at 40 C All closures (zippers, press buttons, velcros, buttons, carabines) must be properly closed to avoid abrasion Before washing and drying is necessary to remove neoprene knee pads! PH of washing bath must not be higher than 9. Do not use detergents with bleaching effects. Optimal level of machine loading is 2/3, with maximum possible water level and lower spinning speeds. If the garment has removable insert, always wash the outer parts separately from inserts. If inserts are not soiled, remove them and wash just the outer parts to prevent unnecessary wear of moisture and thermal barrier. Do not use any softeners! Line dry is optimal Using a tumbler dryer, dry at lower temperature. We recommend drying in two cycles (face and back sides) 2 x 45 minutes. A dryer should be filled at 2/3 of its capacity. (f.e. for drum of 13 kg put dry garments with weight of 10 kg) If the garment is damp, we recommend to hang it to dry To recover the treatment we recommend additional drying at 70 C for 15 minutes!! Perform the additional drying on closed garment from the face side after each maintenance (washing + drying). Iron at maximal temperature 110 C, carefully with steam. 8

Do not Bleach! The product can be cleaned by tetrachlorethen, monofluortrichlormethan and all dissolution reagents stated under a symbol F. Usual cleaning steps are without a limitation Professional wet cleaning. Ordinary cleaning procedures. Finally we would like to draw your attention to a fact that material PBI is as other chemical materials with high share of paraaramide sensitive to direct daylight. To eliminate mechanical and visual abrasion of the outer material of the garment it is essential to observe right laundering procedures, eventually timely done re-impregnation. We are absolutely convinced that the most sensitive part at laundering is the time, the temperature and loading of the washing and drying process. We can say that excessive temperature and over drying can result in excessive shrinkage. We absolutely recommend keeping an evidence list of the clothing service and maintenance (Appendix 1). Decontamination (Disinfection) : Intervention clothing infected by biological material must be treated with hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid-based concentrates activated during machine washing. Do not use chlorine-based products. Recommended disinfection agents are suitable for white, as well as color textiles, except wool and silk. Their utilization is in accordance with European microbicide standards EN 1650 and EN Disinfection agents are effective at 40 C and a longer washing cycle of at least 20 minutes. The exact dosage will be specified by your chemicals supplier based on the intervention clothing types. 9

Washing and decontamination agents that can be used for intervention clothing are in the chart bellow: Storage: Storage of the clothing does not require any special conditions. Protect the clothing against direct sunlight and UV radiation. Packing: Plastic bag, paper box Instructions for users In compliance with EN 469 requirements, the lower and upper body parts, including a neck, arms to wrists, and legs to ankles are protected and covered by the clothing; however, the other body parts are not protected and other equipment items are necessary to achieve the complete protection. In case of accidental stain by a liquid chemical substance or flammable liquid during the wear at a place with a fire and/or heat exposure immediately leave the place, take the clothing off and clean it, possibly do not use anymore and put it out of service. Person wearing the protective clothing diffusing an electrostatic charge must be properly grounded. Electric resistance between person and earth must be smaller than It can be secured by wearing of suitable shoes for example. The clothing must not be taken off at vicinity of flammable or explosive atmosphere, or during handling of flammable or explosive matters. The clothing must not be also used in the environment enriched by oxygen without previous approval by a responsible safety technician. The electrostatic protective function of the protective clothing can be influenced by wearing and tearing, washing and possible contamination. The protective clothing diffusing the electrostatic charge must cover permanently all materials without this property during using. Thermal isolation measured in compliance with ČSN EN 342 may decrease after cleaning! 10

Annex B (informative purpose only) CSN EN 342 Parameter levels The protective value of the measured efficient thermal insulation or the final efficiency of the thermal insulation of a clothing set represents a combination between the surrounding air temperature and the levels of activities performed by the person (production of heat through body chemical reaction - metabolism), (see tables B. 1 and B. 2). Levels shown in the B. 1 table correspond with a user who stands, and levels shown in the B. 2 table correspond with a user who performs light or easy activities. For each level the temperature is calculated at which the body may be maintained under neutral conditions and for an unspecific time (8 hours), and the lowest temperature during which the user may carry on for 1 hour together with acceptable body cooling process. Values are based on conditions where the air temperature equals to average radiation temperature, with relative air humidity approximately 50%, the airflow speed (wind speed) is between 0.3 m/s m/s and walking speed is approximately 1.0 m/s. NOTE: The adequate insulation level of the entire body may not be sufficient to eliminate cooling of sensitive body parts (for example hands, legs, face) which may result in frostbite. Protection of hands against frostbite is addressed in EN 511. Table B. 1 - Effective thermal insulation of clothing / cle and surrounding temperature to achieve thermal balance at different exposition times Insulation / cle m 2 K/W Activity performed by standing user in 75 W/m2 8 h 1 h

Table B. 2 - Resulting efficient thermal insulation of clothing / cler and the surrounding temperature necessary to achieve thermal balance during various activities and during various exposure lengths Insulation / cler m 2 K/W Activity performed by a moving user Light 115 W/m2 Medium 170 W/m2 8 h 1 h 8 h 1 h These values apply only when the insulation is distributed evenly around the entire body and if the user is wearing gloves, proper shoes and head cover and under airspeed (wind speed) between 0.3 m/s and 0.5 m/s. Higher wind speeds will increase values in B. 1 and B. 2 tables due to the wind chill factor (see ENV ISO 11079). 12
