Victoria James, located on Ashdown Lane, sells a wide range of unique gifts and home accessories. We caught up with with owners, Michael and Ann, to find out more. Hi both. So, as you know it s Independent Retailer Month and you of course, are one of our independent stores. Tell us where it all started. Victoria James was formed in July 2011 and started off as a small kiosk outside Clintons. Our products were so well received, that by November that same year, we opened our first store! Two years later we moved to our larger unit and current home in Ashdown Lane here at Telford Centre. Not many people know this but the store is named after Ann s daughter, Victoria, and son, James. What do you think makes an independent store successful? Product choice is really important to us. We sell a huge range of carefully selected gifts and home accessories, from over 20 UK and DID YOU KNOW Victoria James is home to Jellycat, Bomb Cosmetics and many more. EU suppliers, including Jellycat, East of India and Coach House. One of our most recent additions to our range selection is Bomb Cosmetics. All handmade and natural there s a range of lotions, melts, bombs and fragrances to choose from. With a wide selection Pamper Hampers and gift packs there s something for any occasion! What is important to you at Victoria James? We believe customers want a shopping experience they no longer just want to be served they want to feel special, which was always our priority and still is today.
