Whether emollients for perfect skin feel, peptides for silky hair, ingredients to add gloss to decorative cosmetics we help to make your formulation special. PUROLAN purity for beauty Isoparaffins, such as PUROLAN IDD are emollients obtained via sophisticated multi-step synthesis. Unlike paraffins from refined crude oil, the synthesis route leads to high-purity hydrocarbons with precisely defined chain length. These products are derma tologically safe, colorless and odorless. They are suitable for a wide range of cosmetic applications. PUROLAN Isoparaffins are available in four types, varying in volatility and viscosity. PUROLAN Glucan is a powerful, completely natural antiaging active. Usually yeast glucan, the most active type of glucan, is not soluble. Thanks to an innovative process, it is now available as a stable aqueous dispersion. PUROLAN Sericin and PUROLAN Silk Peptide are silk proteins that significantly improve cosmetic formulations, giving a silky, smooth skin feel. Moreover, the ceratinic composition of these silk proteins has a positive effect on the structure of both skin and hair. Our portfolio also includes a range of diols that are truly multifunctional. For example, PUROLAN PD can be used as a humectant, a solvent, a spreading agent and as a con - sistency regulator. A special low odor version for formulations with low fragrance content is available as PUROLAN PD-LO. Solbrol performance for reliable preservation Our Solbrol range comprises cosmetic preservatives. It in - cludes the proven class of parabens and their respective sodium salts, which offer improved water solubility. The range also includes specially designed blends for paraben-free preservation. These are based on organic acids, providing protection against a broad spectrum of microbes. Saltidin let us take care of your ticks Saltidin ** is a reliable, skin-friendly active for insect repellents. It offers protection against different diseases caused by many arthropods, such as mosquitoes, flies, sand flies and ticks. Saltidin ** has a very low penetration and allergy potential and shows good compatibility with synthetic materials. Inorganic Pigments color for life PUROLAN E171 and PUROLAN C891 titanium dioxide pigments are extremely pure und provide excellent, consistent effects in color cosmetics. We also offer synthetic color pigments in our Bayferrox ** and Colortherm ** range. Tight process controls ensure high purity and increased tinting strength. PUROLAN BHT is widely known as an effective antioxidant and is suitable for numerous cosmetic applications. It is used in cosmetics for the stabilization of oils and fatty acids in order to prevent them from becoming rancid.

5 Skin Care Isoparaffins like PUROLAN IDD, IHD and IEC significantly improve the skin feel and spreadability of creams and lotions. In particular they can support or even replace silicones in these applications. Skin feel can be further enhanced by the use of PUROLAN Sericin and Silk Peptide to improve skin structure and moisture content. PUROLAN Triacetin has a proven track record as a highly efficient ph stabilizer when formulating with urea. PUROLAN Glucan is a very effective active for anti-aging formulations. Its ability to support the dermal immune system makes it an ideal ingredient for suncare products, reducing UV-induced damage. Whitening caused by inorganic sun screen is avoided by the use of PUROLAN PGD, thanks to its high refractive index. Organic sun screens are effectively solubilized by PUROLAN DGD. 6 Hair Care Silicone replacement with Isoparaffins, for example PUROLAN IDD, is possible not only in skin care but also in hair care formulations. Isoparaffins act as moisturizers and avoid frizz. PUROLAN Sericin and PUROLAN Silk Peptide lend softness and can repair damaged hair, whilst improving moisture retention. PUROLAN PGD adds a glossy appearance to hair. It reduces odor by effectively blocking the enzymatic decomposition of sweat. PUROLAN PD is a particularly suitable solvent and humectant for deodorants. 8 Preservatives and Antioxidants Due to their proven safety profile and efficacy, parabens are used in nearly all cosmetic applications. For preservation without parabens they can be replaced with the blends Solbrol LB1 Solbrol LB4 and LB6. Since these blends are based on organic acids, they are most effective in an acidic environment. For preservation of alkaline formulations, Solbrol TB is an excellent choice. Solbrol CP is a solution for formulation protection without listed preservatives. For natural formulations we recommend Solbrol SP, entirely based on renewable and preservative-free ingredients. PUROLAN BHT helps to prolong the shelf life of cosmetic formulations by protecting unsaturated fats and oils from oxidization.
