Keep away from sunlight and moisture. MICROBATES is a buffered and well-balanced alkaline bating enzyme for all types of Hides and Skins. In order to produce good quality leather process conditions like ph, float, temperature is to be maintained by the tanner in Bating process. Higher temperatures above 40 0 C may damage the enzymes. Hence due care has to be taken to maintain the bath temperature between 30 0 C to 38 0 C. The ph of the Bating Bath should be between 8.0 and 9.0 for good results and duration of Bating depend on final quality of leathers required. Float has a bearing on bating as higher float reduces the concentration of Bate in liquor. Bating can be carried out at a temperature between C with the optimum temperature being 37 0 C. The ph of the bating bath should preferably be between 8.5 and 9.0 for best results. It is therefore possible to carry out bating operations after deliming in the same bath. ON PICKLED STOCK: Depickle the leathers to ph Degreasing is to be done if necessary. 1% - 3% TEXZYME UT to be added to drum and run for 1 hr. Folds and wrinkles removal to be checked and bath has to be drained. The leathers are thoroughly washed and repickled. Chrome Tanning is done in the usual manner. CHROME TANNED STOCK: Wet blue is treated with mild alkalis like formate to increase the ph to % - 3% TEXZYME UT is added to drum and run for minutes. The skins are checked for folds removal and the leathers are thoroughly washed. Subsequent operations like Rechroming, Neutralisation, Retanning are carried on in usual manner. DRY & HARD CRUST: TEXZYME UT plays an important role in softening of fibres of Dry & Hard Crust. Useful leathers can be turned out of old stocks. A dosage of 1% - 3% TEXZYME UT is recommended along with wetting agent and ammonia in wet back process. 19

26 TEX BIO - D (High Performance Degreasing Enzyme Formulation) Appearance : Brown Colored Liquid Chemical Nature : A Special blend of biodegradable formulated enzymes ph of 10% Solution : 5-6 Moisture : Maximum 4% Shelf Life : Good for 2 years when stored below 30 0 C. TEX BIO - D is a Biodegradable enzyme formulation for degreasing and the product is used before pretanning operations TEX BIO - D can penetrate deeply and disperse the fats effectively. Proper degreasing ensures a good quality in wet blue and finished leathers with out fear of fungus attack. TEX BIO - D is totally free from solvents and hence is of great help to tanner to reduce tannery pollution. TEX BIO - D can be used for degreasing sheep skins of Newzealand, U.K.Saudi Arabia, Spain and other regions. APPLICATIONS Cow & Buffalo Hides: 1% -2% Tex Bio - D in degreasing along with 0.25%-0.5% Tex Wet 100 will give good results in degreasing. Goat & Sheep Skins: After deliming and bating, 0.5%-2.0% TEX BIO - D can be used followed with a good wash Newzealand Pickled : After Depickling to ph 6.0, 2% -5% of Tex Bio - D can be used to achieve good degreasing effect. Skins has to be washed 2-3 times after degreasing to remove the fat. Fat Contents can be brought down from an extreme level of to 2.00 Pig Skins Generally pigskin has excess fat and degreasing is a complex operation. A Dosage of 2% - 5% TEX BIO - D may be required to achieve good degreasing. The skins have to be washed 2 or 3 times after degreasing. The degreased skins shall have natural touch with silky grain. The tear strength properties are good. 24

Keep away from sunlight and moisture. EZYME -A is a new generation Enzyme for Low Sulphide - Lime Unhairing Process of skins. Unhairing process in Beam House will be very clean and there will not be any bad smell by using EZYME-A. The hair or wool has very less Sulphate or Lime and hence higher bye-product values can be achieved. By using EZYME-A very clean pelt with good opening up fibre structure can be obtained in Goat & Sheep Skins. Substantial increase in area of pelts is also noticed. Viscosity or paste is adjusted to Be 0. Paste is applied on flesh side. Skins are piled flesh to flesh for a peroid of hours. Unhairing is done by hand or by machine depending on Tannery conditions. A clean, white, silky pelt is obtained by this process.
