Inspired by our history, we created a set of iconic images to accompany the legendary Caviar product families into the future while honoring their heritage. This collection is meant to transcend fashion trends and capture the essential aspects of feminine beauty. Its mission is to project timeless elegance, which is the very Essence of our Caviar range. 11 STEP BY STEP TECHNIQUES The collection contains two special looks specifically thought to demonstrate some nice techniques to use in the salon. Our creative ambassadors have created an interesting fusion between the fashion world and daily salon life which will give our stylists some inspiration to create their own unique looks for their special clients. 11

13 The Twisted Cocoon It is a beautiful up-do involving two main techniques: the chopstick twist & the cocoon braid. Twisting is very much in fashion these days, and the technique is much fun to play with: you can use it almost at every part of the head, and you can create the most incredible shapes! As a passionate braid lover, I wanted to connect fashion and braiding. So I merged the cocoon braid into this look because it s very flexible to work with. You can use it in many different ways and make any look really unique. I bet you won t see this anywhere else! 14 ALL THE STEPS... Step 1 Apply Bamboo 48 Hour Volume Spray or Caviar Multiplying Volume Styling Mist throughout dry hair for fullness and texture. Step 8 Comb the hair down from the centre parting and straight out from the head. Step 2 Use a grooming brush and blow dry the hair from the face. Step 9 Apply Bamboo 48 Hour Volume Spray or Caviar Multiplying Volume Styling Mist for texture and control. Step 3 Section a centre parting and blow dry the hair flat by the roots. Step 10 Start rolling the hair around the chopsticks from the middle of the length towards the centre parting. Step 4 Apply Caviar Bond Repair 3-in-1 Sealing Serum to the lengths and ends for frizz-control and shine. Step 11 Secure the hair roll with pins while the chopsticks are still in place. Step 5 Blow dry the lengths smooth using a roundbrush. Step 12 Gently pull the two chopsticks out from behind. Step 6 Trace an oval section at the crown and tie a low ponytail using an elastic band. Step 13 Remove the elastic band from the ponytail at the crown. Step 7 Wrap an elastic band around two chopsticks. Step 14 Attach the rolls on both sides together at the oxibital bone and secure with pins. 14

15 Step 15 Make a new ponytail using an elastic band with the remaining hair from the rolls. Step 19 Do the same on the other side. Step 16 Twist the ponytail one time the same way as the rolls and pull the hair to soften the look. Step 20 Tie an elastic band to the ponytail and hide it underneath the braid. Secure with pins. Step 17 Apply Bamboo 48 Hour Volume Spray or Caviar Multiplying Volume Styling Mist to the remaining hair for texture. Step 21 Pull out some of the hair around the face and by the neck for a softer look. Use CaviarPerfect Texture Spray for added texture, control and matte finish. Step 18 Hold the ponytail straight out from the head. Trace a piece of hair from the right side of the head under the ponytail to the other side, making a U and pull the hair through making a knot. Step 22 Finish off with Bamboo Dry Oil Micromist or Caviar Anti-Frizz Dry Oil Mist to add shine and moisture. 15

17 The Invisible Braid This look represents a fusion of two extremes: the every-day needs of the salon and the advanced techniques used in the backstage of fashion shows. I often use needle and thread with fashion models, and I also know that many of my salon clients love softer hairstyles that almost feel like they are not there. And that s the idea behind the name of the look. 18 ALL THE STEPS... Step 1 Apply Caviar Style Luxe Shape Gel to wet hair in sections focusing on the roots and mid-lengths to give hold and smoothness with a dry feeling. Step 8 Divide the hair into two sections starting 1 cm above one ear going across (1 cm above the occipital bone) to 1 cm above the other ear. Step 2 Apply Caviar Multiplying Volume Styling Mist to the lengths and ends for fullness and texture. Step 9 Apply Caviar Anti-Frizz Omega + Nourishing Oil to the lower section to make it shiny and flat by the roots. Step 3 Brush through the hair to make sure you have even distribution of the products. Step 10 Tie the lower section into a low ponytail using an elastic band. Step 4 Blow dry the hair smooth using a grooming brush. Step 11 Apply Caviar Perfect Texture Spray to the other section to create more texture and separation. Step 5 Spray Caviar Bond Repair Heat Protection Spray on the brush to protect against heat damage and frizz. Then, blow dry hair smooth. Step 12 Gently brush the hair back over the low ponytail and secure with an elastic band. Step 6 Use a medium size curling iron on sections as big as the width of the iron. Curl in brickwork sections away from the face. Pin each section. Step 13 Use a plastic needle with a blunt end and a long double elastic thread. Step 7 Take the pins out and shake your hands through the hair. Step 15 Start weaving by making a knot on the back of one ear going over to the other side and back again towards the top of the head. 18

19 Step 16 Weave about 2 cm up and down. Step 22 Smooth down the surface and roll the ponytail underneath. Step 17 Lightly pull the hair between the elastic on top of the head into loops to make soft texture. Step 23 Secure with pins, pull the sides out and secure. Step 18 Once you have the shape you desire, stabilize the hairstyle with pins. Step 24 Pull it a little bit to connect it to the rest. Step 19 Hide the elastic on the ponytail by wrapping a piece of hair around it and secure with a pin. Set with Caviar Working Hairspray. Step 25 Spray with Caviar Working Hairspray to set the hairstyle... Step 20 Apply Caviar Perfect Texture Spray to the ponytail for more texture and hold, and then brush it. Step 26 and remove the pins on top of the head. Step 21 Backcomb the underneath of the ponytail. 19
