The Indie Beauty Expo (IBE) was founded to support the growth and success of independent beauty brands and the entrepreneurs behind them. Anthology serves as a visual summary of each IBE. Here you will find a collection of today s best beauty brands and a celebration of the passion and independent spirit that drives our community. 5 IBE NY 2016 The Indie Beauty Expo returned to New York City on August This year s event was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion and showcased over 130 indie beauty brands from around the globe. IBE NY started with an extended Day Zero at the DREAM Hotel in Chelsea. This was an afternoon dedicated to learning, knowledge-sharing and networking among exhibitors prior to the show opening. Day One kicked off with a two-hour VIP press and media event. A sold-out SHOP INDIE event followed, where over 900 indie consumers got to try and buy from some of the most innovative and hard-to-find beauty brands on the market. Day Two was focused on trade professionals and for buyers to connect with brands that can help differentiate their retail collection. Both show days were filled with activations from Crowns by Christy, DJ Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells spinning tunes, a braid and lip bar by Chic Studios, hair touch-ups by Amika and Arrojo and as well as face peels from BeautyRx by Dr. Schultz. A variety of speakers and panelists brought guests and exhibitors exciting presentations, demonstrations and Q&As. Watch our IBE NY 2016 recap here.
