To miimise the risk of allergies, the ier layer of the mask should be free of colourats, ad the etire mask should be free of latex ad fibres. The best possible protectio from pathoges is provided by elarged filter areas i the mouth protectio. This is formed whe ultrasoud weldig is used durig productio, avoidig uecessary seams. Ivestigatios by the occupatioal Coordiatio Group for Biological Work Materials (Koordiierugskreis für Biologische Arbeitsstoffe = KOBAS) i 2005 showed that poor quality, iexpesive masks do ot provide good results i the filtratio of pathoges which are harmful to health. Istructios of the hygiee pla: Protective gloves: It is madatory to wear sigle use gloves i all itervetios i which cotact with blood, serum, cotagious or suspicious ski disorders (e.g. mycotic tissues i foot care) is foreseeable.
