4 Year i Review Perkis Ceter for the Arts 2017 fiscal year ra from July 1, 2016 through Jue 30, Perkis Ceter preseted 362 programs i FY17 ad served a total audiece of 36,867. Highlights iclude: 1,516 participats i 160 weekly visual ad performig arts classes i 42 weeks, 983 participats i weekly coservatory of music lessos i 50 weeks, 116 childre attedig 2-week daily summer camp sessios over a 39 day period 12 area schools & 13,500 childre ad adults were served through the ARTS i-school residecy program over a 240 day period. 3,007 people experieced music performaces through: u 4 free outdoor cocerts u 3 free public performaces u 6 DeCafe Cocerts u 17 coservatory studet recital performaces u 4 arts & healig performaces i area logterm care facilities The artwork of 275 fie artists was preseted i 8 juried ad curated art exhibitios. A total audiece of 9,094 viewed these exhibitios. 5 News Mabel C.S. D Olier at the Smithsoia Mabel D Olier was the sister of Alice Perkis ad lived i the buildig that is ow the headquarters of Perkis Ceter for the Arts. Mabel is ow part of a exhibitio at the Smithsoia s Natioal Museum of America History. The exhibitio, Uiformed Wome of the Great War, explores the active ad largely overlooked role played by wome throughout World War I, both as a part of the preparedess effort before 1917 ad afterwards as uiformed members of both the U.S. military ad civilia volutary orgaizatios. Mabel Creth Sulliva D Olier served i Frace as a voluteer with the America Frieds Service Committee, a Quaker orgaizatio formed i The group provided aid to displaced civilias i Frace, Belgium, Russia, Serbia, Austria, ad Polad durig ad after the war.
