Uder Techology Missio o Techical Textiles (TMTT) with a fud outlay of Rs. 200 crore, four Cetres of Excellece (CoE) were set up i the area of Idutech, Sportech, No woves ad Composites ad four CoEs were upgraded i the area of Agrotech, Meditech, Protech, ad Geotech. Scheme for promotig usage of Agrotextiles i North-Easter Regio The scheme has a approved outlay of Rs.55 crore for a period of 5 years from to The Scheme has bee exteded for aother two years ( & ). The aim of the scheme is to ecourage w w w. t e c h o t e x i d i a. i utilizatio of Agrotextiles i improvig the agriculture, horticulture, floriculture & sericulture produce of the N-E states through awareess programmes, developmet of Agrotextile products suitably customized for use i the North-Easter regio, creatig demostratio set-up depictig the beefit of usage of Agrotextile products suitable for the regio, traiig of farmers ad distributio of Agrotextile kits to farmers i the local commuities. Demo cetres have already bee established i all the NER states. III. Scheme for promotig usage of Geotechical textiles i North-Easter Regio: The Scheme was lauched i December 2014 with a total outlay of Rs. 427 crore for a period of 5 years from to The objective of the scheme is to promote ad utilize Geo-textiles i developmet ad stregtheig of the ifrastructure i the NE states by providig techological ad fiacial support for meetig icremetal costs, if ay, due to the usage of Geo textiles i existig/ ew projects i road, hill/ slope protectio & water reservoirs. The projects are idetified i cosultatio with the State-Govermets & cocered Stakeholder Agecies. So far projects have bee approved for Maipur, Tripura, Meghalaya ad Aruachal Pradesh.
