The upcoming launch of this hot market is a result of significant growth driven by the Market España team that has worked diligently to support all UnFranchise Owners. One of the keys to success is providing crucial training on a regular basis through the NMTSS, and an ambitious number of Home Business Presentations, UnFranchise Business Presentations, New UnFranchise Owner Trainings, Executive Coordinator Certification Trainings and WebCenter Trainings are planned for the remainder of this year to encourage continued growth. Market España has been making essential changes to its operations over the past several months to prepare for this launch. The ES.SHOP.COM website recently changed its prices from pounds to euros with the goal of becoming a more competitive site in the market and doubling the number of visitors before the end of the year. After hearing Loren talk about social media and Instagram at World Conference, I decided to give it a try. To my amazement, it was easier than I thought. I took the time to teach myself and within one week I had over 100 followers, four new customers and one new ProArtist on my team. Now I look back and say Why did I wait so long? INSTAGRAM S MONUMENTAL IMPACT Motives recent growth is fueled largely by the success of its viral campaign on Instagram. Over the past year, the brand s Instagram following has grown from just a few thousand to more than 1.2 million! 11 SUCCEED MARKET SINGAPORE IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS BY CHRISTINE CHENG SOFT OPENING Market Singapore s soft launch took place on 18 Sept. 2014, and it was a tremendously exciting day for everyone who participated and supported us. The Market Singapore Corporate Team sends our greatest appreciation to all the local and international leaders who took time off to share this joy together with us. We thank Executive Vice President of International Development Joe Bolyard, Anthony Kwan and Jojo Soh for their presentations, and our international guest speakers, Karry Wu, Johnny Huang, Richard Ng and Angie and Kevin Yip, who shared their inspirational experiences of success. We also thank our local leaders, Liyen Ho, Alice Fong and Danny Lim, who shared their aspirations for Market Singapore. This event involved a simple ceremony for the opening of Market Singapore in the presence of our guest. It allowed our guests to view our showroom, share the joy and be a part of the transition of Market Singapore from an Emerging Markets Programme country to a full Market Country. 12 SUCCEED GRAND OPENING While the soft launch was a much anticipated event, the Grand Opening took place on 11 and 12 Nov. and was a huge success! The two-day event was filled with many oncein-a-lifetime programmes and sharing by both top corporate executives and leaders. After a kick-start by the exciting performance of the Lion Dance Troop that spurred the enthusiasm of the crowd, the launch event welcomed to the stage Market America founder, President and CEO JR Ridinger and Regional Director of Asia and Country Manager of Hong Kong Anthony Kwan, where they were invited to perform a traditional ritual of blessings for Market Singapore. It was such an honour to have JR, who for two days shared with everyone his business ideas, attitude and the keys to success. An exclusive afternoon meeting with Senior Vice President and Motives creator Loren Ridinger and Chief Operating Officer Marc Ashley was an exceptional experience for the many lucky leaders. It was a very special close-up session in which Loren shared her personal testimonials and Marc discussed his business insights. The UnFranchise Level Recognition segment gave everyone a chance to acknowledge the achievements of our UnFranchise Owners and top leaders. Leaders with Un- Franchise Level of Master Coordinator and above were invited to the stage for a round of recognition. WHAT IS YOUR FORMULA FOR BUILDING A STRONG AND STABLE ORGANISATION? The main thing is to build from event to event. HOW HAVE YOU FILLED YOUR BEAN JAR WITH PROSPECTS? I always keep my eyes and my ears open. DO YOU USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO PROMOTE THE BUSINESS AND/OR PRODUCTS? HOW? Yes, I do. I mainly do this through Facebook so I can connect with friends and associates. WHAT HAS THIS PROVEN BUSINESS MODEL GIVEN YOU THAT YOU DIDN T HAVE BEFORE MARKET SINGAPORE? I now have an expanded knowledge about health and nutrition, as well as an ongoing income, which is rather nice. HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO ATTEND THE VARIOUS EVENTS IN THE NMTSS? Attending NMTSS events is absolutely vital; otherwise, you ll get plugged out of the system, and you ll literally fade. WHAT IS YOUR FONDEST MEMORY FROM ONE OF THE BIG EVENTS? I was grateful to be recognised at the recent Market America 2014 International Convention Gala for the work that my family, pioneer team members and I have put into the UnFranchise Business to make Market Singapore a reality. WHAT TOOL HAS BEEN INVALUABLE TO YOUR SUCCESS? I love Unfranchise Owner Magazine, but unfortunately, Market Singapore did not have a magazine when it was part of the Emerging Markets Programme (EMP). So, as we were building, we had to depend on the Internet YouTube, Power Profiles and unfranchisetraining.com. WHO IS YOUR BUSINESS ROLE MODEL? WHY? Well, in my first year, I got to listen to Melisa Chan who came to Sydney to be a pioneer there for the UnFranchise Business. Her knowledge and influence in changing people s health inspired me during those early days. I am so thankful that she and Pat Hwang came to Singapore to help me build in Singapore during the EMP phase without which it would have been very difficult to do alone. 11 UnFranchise Owner Magazine November/December 2014

14 DREAM WHAT IS THE TOP PIECE OF ADVICE YOU D GIVE TO SOMEONE JUST STARTING OUT? It is very important to attend as many events as possible. Only by being persistent in attending events will one learn. HOW HAS YOUR VIEWPOINT OF THE BUSINESS CHANGED SINCE YOU STARTED YOUR UNFRANCHISE BUSINESS? It can be done! The ongoing income can become a reality. Just don t give up, no matter what! WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS? I love what I do. I enjoy seeing success in the people around me, and most importantly, to see health and lives changed! So, I guess I ll still be sharing the good news of Market Singapore. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TECH TOY? I love my Samsung mobile phone. HOW DO YOU RELIEVE STRESS? I relieve stress through prayers, meditation, going to the gym and spending hours at the spa. TELL US SOMETHING NEW YOU HAVE LEARNED WITHIN THE PAST YEAR. I am reminded that I serve a faithful God. He s there as my shepherd, and always protecting and providing for me. He sent me so many angels to Singapore, during the EMP phase, for whom I m very grateful, including my family who s very supportive of the business especially my husband, Peter Ho. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE QUOTE? When God closes a door, He always opens a window. When we returned to Singapore, and I wasn t able to actively build Market Australia, God allowed, through many meandering ways, the possibility of Market Singapore. WHAT S A GOOD HABIT YOU HAVE? I see the good of everyone instead of focusing on their flaws. I want to see the positive and not dwell on the negative. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE VACATION SPOT? Somewhere nice and quiet, with plenty of fresh air and positive, happy people. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MARKET SINGAPORE PRODUCT?
