4 Talking with Tina Let s Talk About Lasers have been utilized in the medical, esthetic and cosmetic industries for decades. In fact, they have been the primary application for patients, as they provide effective, precise and fast results. "Laser treatments" has become a coin term, even a trend, but what are laser treatments? What do they do? A laser is basically a focused beam of light, in a specific wavelength, that emits energy to a target. These wavelengths can be changed, resulting in different applications, targets, or modes of treatment. This is why we offer various options, with a multitude of lasers in our office. Dr. Lycka was one of, if not the first, to bring most of these machines to Edmonton, so you re bound to see one in each treatment room, even the surgical suite. To further explain how versatile these tools are, here are some examples of what we offer in our clinic: LASER LIPOSUCTION - Using a laser in this surgery allows for more precise sculpting and minimal downtime. The body endures far less trauma compared to methods of the past, leading to better results and patient satisfaction.
