While rosacea and psoriasis both affect the skin, they vary in many ways. Here are some key differentiators. Psoriasis 101 Psoriasis is a disease that can be linked to conditions like obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, pregnancy and arthritis. It commonly occurs on the knees, elbows, scalp, torso, palms or bottoms of the feet. The Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation (CSCF) strongly recommends that people avoid tanning beds due to the strong link between tanning beds and skin cancer. As noted on the CSCF website, the World Health Organization designated tanning beds carcinogenic to humans in For comparison, tobacco, arsenic and asbestos are also extremely harmful carcinogens.
