4 EDITOR S LETTER MAKE IT COUNT Lyoung, talented and with so much pr ike many of you, I was distraught by the news of Lebo Mathosa s death. I wondered how someone so promise could die so soon? I d forgotten one important thing: death is the worst kind of thief. It comes without warning and has no reason. On the 23rd of October 2006 we lost Lebo, but we wanted to celebrate her life and her legacy. Melinda Ferguson talks to Lebo s Boom Shaka bandmate, Thembi Seete (page 92), about her relationship with Lebo and how she s coping without her. We also spoke to Queen Mathosa, Lebo s sister, who gives an illuminating account of the younger Lebo.
