microwave). That s where I discovered that my colleague, Zaida Grobbelaar the woman who does the real good housekeeping around our office is a charity-walk junkie.

10 FROM THE EDITOR YOU, ONLY BETTER! SOME OF THE MOST INTERESTING conversations in the office happen in our little kitchen. That s usually where staff share weekend plans, family events and their favourite quick and easy recipes (thanks to the delicious smells of last night s supper leftovers being heated in the microwave). That s where I discovered that my colleague, Zaida Grobbelaar the woman who does the real good housekeeping around our office is a charity-walk junkie. It s her favourite weekend thing and she has 18 medals to prove it. It s also where I found out that she used to be 38kg heavier. So, when we were looking for GH readers to feature in our real-life weight-loss story, Zaida was an obvious choice. I m full of admiration for people who like Zaida take a decision to lose weight, even when their goal seems like an impossibility, and stick to it. As she says in her interview on page 83, Every diet works, but sticking to them is the problem. In our chat with her (see page 20) she describes her new book, Simply Nigella, as a snapshot of how I cook and eat now. What I m trying to do, she says, is to make food that makes me feel good. I don t mean just that it satisfies greed although that is essential but I want to feel good when I m cooking. I want to feel good when I m eating. I want to feel good afterwards. I think of Clare every day and miss her terribly.
