36 ABOUT OUR AW17 COLLECTION This is WE ARE NATURE, Motoreta s new Autumn Winter collection. This season s shapes and prints were inspired by the connection between nature, fashion, architecture and land art. They follow the natural lines of landscapes, an organic shape of a rock and are then combined with geometries and colors. We want to pay tribute to the land art movement artists Nancy Holt, Walter de Maria or Andy Goldsworthy which work is based in the relation between Nature and Art. The result is strong prints, abstract graphics and colors extracted directly from nature that tell us about the landscape and our relation with the earth. Cristina and the creative minds behind Motoreta have thought about an AW17 season in neat shapes, cozy textured knitted garments and soft fabrics including our iconic silhouettes re-desinged from a renewed point of view. The key pieces of the collection are the dresses, with their clean patterns, detailed with frills, big pockets, and sophisticated collars; but also the overalls and knittted garments. Our pallet: shades of green, blue, black, maroon, white, stripes, dots, geometries and organic forms. Learning to live by Nature s design is our only hope for the future generations.
