6 DEMENTED CIRCUS // 33RD ANNUAL CORNELL FASHION SHOW PIECE // MOODBOARD INSPIRATION / DEMENTED CIRCUS / For my chosen garment Éloize I was inspired by the idea of a candy wrap, presents and mimes mixed together. Stiff shapes representing the hard candy wrap / cellophane paper, the patterns for mimes and the bow as the packaging / present. 33RD ANNUAL CORNELL FASHION SHOW / FASHION SHOW / As a student at Cornell University, I had the opputunity to participate in the 33rd Annual Fashion Show, showcasing the students designs in front of people. Demented Circus was the theme for Level 1 students at Cornell Univesity. 10 AZURE GOWNS THAT FIT ROYALS // DRAPING CHALLENGE MAKING GARMENT BASED ON DANISH HERITAGE & HISTORY // INSPIRATION / HERITAGE / The challenge of Draping Project 3 was to look at our own heritage and find inspiration in that and create a drape that would suit the inspiration. I choose to look at the Danish Royal Family and especially Crown Princess Mary who originates from Australia. COLOURS / ROYAL BLUE PANTONE: Blue 072 C NAVY BLUE PANTONE: 282 C Mary is becoming a fashion icon in Denmark and a very popular icon in modern Danish history. She is an active patron of Denmarks fashion indsutry and Patron of the Copenhagen Fashion Summit. She has also been named one of the world s most fashionable people in Vanity Fair annual International Best-Dressed List and has also modeled for big names such as Prada, Hugo Boss, Gaultier and Danish designers such as Malene Birger and Georg Jensen TARGET GROUP / CROWN PRINCESS MARY OF DENMARK / AZURE MOODBOARD Mary Elisabeth Donaldson, now Crown Princess of Denmark and Countess of Monpezat, born in Australia in 1972 and married to the Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik. Mary is an elegant, sophistaceted women, who is willing to take chances with her wardrobe, but due to her status as Princess she has to look demure, elegant and in general well put together at all times. These are some of the elements that I aspire to incorpurate into my garment. Elegance, sophistication, sexyness, demure, feminity and an interesting cut. 9

11 GOWN SKETCHES FLAT DRAWING OPTITEX EDITING OPTITEX / ALL PIECES FOR AZURE / This garment was done in half scale draped on a 3D scan of my model og then her body was cut out in foam to create her shape in half scale. After I draped the dress on the form and then it was scanned into Optitex and altered. It was then lasercut in muslin in full scale and sewn together. I then fitted it on my model and again altered my pieces in Optitex. I then lasercut in a fabric resembling my silk fabric and made another fitting. SEWING 10

Here I was able to perform in various different tasks. I was also able to help out during her show at New York Fashion week, where I worked backstage, making sure everything was in place. INTERNSHIP ASSIGNMENT / 3 SEMESTER / As a student at VIA Design, we have to create an internship assignment. Here I made a collection based on making Anna Sui ready for the scandinavian market. I was then supposed to make a mini collection for this. I also created a Business Model Canvas and Swot analysis to go along with my creative work. I travelled to London to see their store at Harrods and to gain knowledge on their business, fabrics, textiles and methods. I also used this time to buy fabrics for my garments. My thesis question was How would a colourful Readyto-Wear AW18 mini collection look for Ralph & Russo? SANCTUARY Sanctuary is a moodboard that creates a line between water, animals and royality. It symbolises and tells a story A world consumed by water This board is inspired by Humanature from WGSN AW18. Humanature uses nature and natural elements to create a more demure mood and lookback at the past I have used the idea of nature and mixed it with the idea of Atlantica and a world consumed by water where royalty and civilazation still exsist.
