1 Remving day t day stains using the Aqua Cleaning Chemicals Order N Chemical Clur Purple PRODUCT NAME Aqua Clean USE / DESCRIPTION Lw Faming Heavy-Duty Nn-Butyl degreasing detergent fr any surface. It can be used n aluminium ally surfaces. It is the ultimate stain remver in the laundry. APPLICATION / USE RATE A 50/50 slutin in a spay bttle is recmmended. It can be used anywhere yu see a stain r grime n white r clured linen. A great stain remver when yu are nt sure what the stain is Green Aqua Strip Pink Aqua Spray Disslves Sap Scum, Bdy Fat & Muld frm Tile, Fibreglass & Glass surfaces. Cntains 1.5% Caustic Ultimate Spray & Wipe. Cleans, shines and rejuvenates hard surfaces by just spraying & wiping ff. This is the big daddy f the grime busters and is used mre utside the laundry t remve fresh engine il stains frm cncrete & bitumen. Wear glves & gggles in neat slutin This prduct is mixed with Methylated spirits t give it the tenacity t remve slvent based stains such as bt plish and engine il. A 50/50 slutin in a spay bttle is recmmended. It is pssible the prduct culd be flammable. 909 Blue Aqua Cling 910 Pale Blue Aqua Descale An acidic tilet bwl cleaner which is Dilute 200ml with 400ml f clean water in a 600ml used t remve stains that require an spray bttle. Spray n the stain and rewash keep acid slutin. clear r chlrinated bleaches A extremely strng blend f acids that is The slutin des have a small percentage f designed t disslve hard water calcium xalic acid which is magic n stubbrn stains. Use build up frm dishwashers and electric at 50/50 with water n stains. - keep clear r jugs chlrinated bleaches Mre Instructins fr Particular Stain Remval Bleach Treat immediately in cpius amunts f cld water. Fr chlrine bleach, add 30ml f Aqua Descale in each 500ml f water. If the clur has been remved by the bleach, it is dubtful if it will ever be restred. Bld If fresh, spnge with cl salted water (1 teaspn: 600 ml water) and rinse with clear water. Shuld stain persist, sak in a Napisan type f sanitiser frm the supermarket that cntains sdium per carbnate - read label fr the chemical make-up f the prduct (may state sdium carbnate perxhydrate r xygenated bleach). Sdium per carbnate is derived frm a manufacturing prcess f cncentrated slutins f sdium carbnate and hydrgen perxide (sdium carbnate perxhydrate) therefre yu culd try using the hydrgen perxide suggestin first. Or yu can try any f the fllwing suggestins, and they are in n particular rder... Dilute hydrgen perxide (1 part : 9 parts water). Purchase the strngest slutin available frm a pharmacy - usually "20 Vlume". Rinse well. (Nte if yu have a chemical injectin system it may cntain Hydrgen Perxide 50% strength) Spnge with a 20% slutin f Aqua Descale, warmed t abut 45 C. Rinse well. Spnge with dilute ammnia (30ml: 600 ml f water). Rinse well. Fr thick r unwashable articles, e.g. mattresses, carpets, sprinkle with pepsin pwder (frm yur pharmacy), r spread with a thick paste f raw starch and water, leave t dry, and then brush ff. Repeat if necessary.

2 Bt Plish Spnge with a 50/50 slutin f Aqua Clean. If this des nt remve the stain try dry cleaning fluid. Chewing Gum Scrape away as much as pssible first. Rubbing the stain with ice will harden the gum and make this easier, especially n rugs and ther heavy materials. Chclate & Cca First scrape ff as much as pssible with a dull knife. Ht sapy water will then remve fresh stains frm washable articles. If a brwn stain remains, sak in a slutin f Napisan type f sanitiser in ht water fllwed by a gd rinse in warm water. Fr unwashable materials, spnge with dry cleaning fluid. Allw t dry. Repeat as necessary with a clean prtin f pad beneath. If any mark remains, spnge with equal quantities f Aqua Spray and Methylated spirits (wd alchl) and husehld ammnia (test n clurs first). Fllw with warm water. A spray-n dry cleaner may be used. Cffee & Tea Remve fresh stains frm cttn and linen materials by first rinsing in warm water then puring biling water frm a height f 2-3 feet nt the stain. Fllw by washing in sapy water. If a trace remains, bleach in the sun, r with a Napisan type f sanitiser. Tea stains n cttns and linens can als be remved by saking in brax and water (30mg f brax in 500ml f warm water). Crrectin Fluid Use 50/50 Aqua Spray n the stain. OR Try a little gasline n the stain, with sme gd absrbent paper r ld clth behind it. Then use sme dishwash liquid r a gd quality laundry liquid t wash ut the gasline. OR Purchase sme xylene, r tluene, these are sme f the slvents used in making the crrectin fluid. Use as if using the gasline. Always test an incnspicuus piece f material befre prceeding. Dyes & Running Clurs These are difficult t remve and n ne treatment is successful in all cases. Immediate cpius rinsing in tepid water, frcing the water thrugh the stain, is smetimes effective. Washing and sunning will gradually bring results in sme cases. Equal parts f Aqua Spray and Methylated spirits (wd alchl) and ammnia may als succeed. White fabrics may be bleached. Use chlrinated laundry bleach r a Napisan type f sanitiser fr linens and untreated cttns, hydrgen perxide fr silk, wl and delicate fabrics. Dye - Setting Salt can be used t "Set Dyes" at a rate f quarter t half a cup per wash tub lad. Leave t sak half an hur, rinse, and then hang t dry. Salt is a cmmn additive t Laundry Pwder frmulatins. Amng its many uses, salt minimises the risk f "running dyes" when laundering garments. Egg Scrape away as much as pssible. Spnge with lukewarm water. Never use ht water, as heat hardens the stain. If this des nt succeed, spread the stain with a paste f cream f tartar and water, adding a crushed aspirin t the paste. Leave fr minutes. Rinse well in warm water. OR use a Napisan type f sanitiser. Fruit Juices & Berries Fresh stains are easy t remve, but nce dry, they are very bstinate. Treat with cl water first and fllw up, if necessary, by saking in a chlrinated laundry bleach r a Napisan type f sanitiser. Rinse.

3 White cttns and linens may be stretched ver a basin and biling water pured thrugh frm a height. Any remaining stain may be remved with chlrinated laundry bleach. Clured fabrics r washable silk, etc., may be saked in a Napisan type f sanitiser r a warm brax slutin (30ml brax t 500ml water), r cvered with a paste f cream f tartar and warm water. Leave half and hur r until stain ges, then rinse well. Fr persistent stains apply equal quantities f Methylated spirits and ammnia. Rinse well after treatment. This methd is safe fr all fabrics, except triacetate (e.g. Tricel). Dilute mixture with an equal quantity f water fr fabrics with fugitive dyes. Old stains may be sftened in glycerine befre treatment. Damp stain, apply glycerine, leave 1-2 hurs, then add a few drps f vinegar, leave 5-10 minutes and rinse well. Glues, Gums & Cellulse Adhesives Saking in cl water will remve water-sluble glues, e.g. casein glue. Fr waterprf varieties, use spirit slvent, e.g. methylated spirits r amyl acetate (test befre using n synthetic fabrics). Artificial Nail glue can be remved used acetne (test n an incnspicuus area first). Acetne evaprates quickly, s hld a wad f absrbent paper r sft clth against the glue, and sak the acetate thrugh frm the ther side. (The glue saks n t the wad f absrbent) Grass & Other Garden Fliage Sak in a slutin f a chlrinated laundry bleach r Napisan type f sanitiser. OR spnge with Methylated spirits. Remve this with warm water and where pssible wash the article using Laundry pwder r Liquid. Ice Cream, Milk & Cream Fr washable materials, first spnge with lukewarm water, then wash as usual. If the material is nt washable, spnge with dry cleaning fluid then with cld water. Indelible Pencil D nt use water as this spreads the stain. Spnge ver a pad f sft clth, using equal quantities f Aqua Spray and Methylated spirits (wd alchl) and husehld ammnia (test clured fabrics first). Shuld the clurs run, try Methylated spirits (wd alchl) alne. Rinse r spnge with warm water. Ink Because INKS differ in cmpsitin it is impssible t find remvers that are equally effective fr all types f ink spts. The fllwing is a range f suggestins frm which yu can chse. The best treatment we have discvered is using a D'limnene based prduct. Dry the stained area. Mix tgether 3 parts dishwash liquid with 1 part f D'limnene. Sak the stained area in this slutin fr minutes. After the sak time, rinse in water as ht as is suitable fr the fabric, then wash as usual, but preferably with a Laundry Liquid. This treatment may require repeating. Other treatments yu can try include the fllwing... Ballpint Pen Ink: First, saturate material with an alchl-based hair spray (this seems t be a very ppular methd). The alchl cntent in the hair spray will break up the ink. Be sure t place an absrbent paper twel r rag under the stain t catch the excess. Yu then need t blt the stain with a rag. Repeat the prcess until the stain is remved, then launder as usual. A wrd f cautin befre trying this methd: sme fabrics may be damaged by the hair spray slutin. If in dubt, test n an incnspicuus area first, r cnsult with a prfessinal dry cleaner. Water Based Inks: Try an all-purpse cleaner instead f hair spray. Be sure t place an absrbent paper twel r rag under the stain t catch the excess. Yu then need t blt the stain with a rag. Repeat the prcess until the stain is remved, then launder as usual. A wrd f cautin befre trying this methd: sme fabrics may be damaged by the cleaning slutin. If in dubt, test n an incnspicuus area first, r cnsult with a prfessinal dry cleaner. NOTE: If the stain is still wet, apply an absrbent - french chalk, talcum pwder, starch r salt - t absrb excess ink and stp it frm spreading. Cntinue this treatment, remving the disclured pwder and applying fresh, until there n further change is achieved. Alternatively, take up excess ink with bltting paper, pressing fresh patches f bltter int the stain until it n lnger disclurs. Then treat as required.

4 These suggestins are als suitable fr dried writing ink, ball pint pen, r marking ink. Sak the stain in "sur" milk - this is an ld fashined, but effective methd. Fresh milk als wrks, but sur milk is faster. Spnge r dip the stain in equal quantities f Methylated spirits (wd alchl) and husehld ammnia (test n clured fabrics first). Rinse in warm water. Rinse again in warm water cntaining a little ammnia, then finally in fresh water. Spnge with pure Dettl. If nt effective, try isprpyl alchl r dry cleaning fluid (frm chemist). Lipstick & Other Csmetics e.g. eyeshadw, mascara, blusher - washing with yur usual laundry prduct may remve these stains. Pre treat the dry fabric stain with a laundry pre-sak (spt stain remver). On an unwashable fabric, first try dry cleaning fluid. If stains are stubbrn, spnge with equal quantities f Methylated spirits and husehld ammnia. (Test n clured fabrics first). If clur fades, reduce ammnia by half and test again. Rinse in warm water, r wash if pssible. Mildew Treat as sn as discvered, befre the muld has time t weaken the clth. Slight, fresh stains can ften be remved by washing with yur usual laundry prduct and drying in the sun. Otherwise, try these methds in turn, prceeding carefully with clured articles: Chlrinated laundry bleaches may be used fr white untreated cttns and linens, accrding t general instructins given by the manufacturer. Rinse thrughly befre washing. b] Vinegar added t the final rinse will help remve any traces f smell remaining frm the bleach. c] Napisan type f sanitiser n all white and clured fabrics. Mtr Grease & Heavy Mtr Oil Scrape away as much as pssible. Fr washable materials, rub lard r Vaseline int stain r treat dry fabric with a laundry pre-sak (spt stain remver). Wash in a quality Laundry pwder r Liquid. On unwashable materials, such stains are difficult. Treat repeatedly with dry cleaning fluid, cntinuusly changing the pad and the spnging clth. Finish with a spnging f lukewarm water and 50/50 Aqua Clean Slutin, then warm water t rinse. If cntaminated with metal particles, use Aqua Stain Remver Slutin. Treat as fr Irn Rust. Mud Allw t dry, then brushing ff. Any remaining stain may be remved by washing r spnging with yur usual laundry pwder r liquid r if greasy dirt, pre-treat dry fabric with 50/50 Aqua Clean Slutin r use a grease slvent, e.g. dry cleaning fluid. Nail Plish Apply acetne r amyl acetate (plish remvers), but take care with synthetic fibres, as bth f these disslve sme type f rayns. Wash r spnge with yur usual laundry prduct after treatment. Remve any remaining clur with bleach, using chlrinated laundry bleach fr white cttns and linens. Napisan type f sanitiser fr clurs and hydrgen perxide fr wl and silks. Paint Mdern paints vary greatly in cmpsitin and it is nt pssible t give ne treatment fr all types. As a guide, use the slvent suggested n the paint tin label fr thinning paint and cleaning brushes. Treat prmptly, as set stains are very difficult t remve. If paint has dried, sften with glycerine befre applying treatment. Fr il paint, enamels and alkyd type paints scrape ff as much as pssible and sak remaining stain in turpentine, r kersene. Then wash in usual way. Latex r plastic water-base paints, e.g. Acrylic and P.V.A. will wash ut easily with cld water when fresh. Remve any remaining stain using equal quantities f Aqua Spray and Methylated spirits (test first t see that acetate fabrics are nt affected). Once dry, these paints are virtually impssible t remve.

5 Pencil Marks (lead) Try a sft rubber fr unwashable garments. Use a quality laundry pwder r liquid n lead pencil marks, but never fr indelible pencil. If nt successful, fllw instructins fr Indelible Pencil. Perfume Wet area, apply glycerine and rinse ut well, r spnge with equal parts f full-strength hydrgen perxide and water. If the clur has already been remved frm the fabric by the alchl in the perfume, it may be helpful t add a few drps f Methylated spirits t cheeseclth pad and spnge fabric lightly, wrking twards the centre f the stain, thus distributing remaining clur evenly. Perspiratin Stains New perspiratin stains are nrmally acidic and may be remved by washing. If the dye is affected, hld the mark in fumes frm an pen ammnia bttle. Older perspiratin stains turn alkaline and spnging with Aqua Stain Remver Slutin r 30ml f vinegar in 250ml water will ften restre the clur. This treatment als helps t remve perspiratin durs. T remve perspiratin stains frm unwashable garments r fr any stubbrn marks, apply a paste f 1 Table spn f cream f tartar, 3 crushed aspirins and warm water. Leave fr 20 minutes. Rinse well in warm water. Repeat if necessary. Fllw this with vinegar and water t restre the clur if necessary. She Cleaners Scrape ff any excess with a dull knife. She creams can frequently be remved frm washable materials by washing with yur usual laundry prduct. If this is nt successful, treat washable fabrics with glycerine. Pur n t the stain, rub lightly between the hands, leave fr half an hur, then wash r rinse in warm water. On unwashable fabrics r fr very stubbrn marks, spnge using equal quantities f Aqua Spray and Methylated spirits. (Test n clured fabrics first). Then spnge with warm water. Sft Drinks Pre-treat dry fabric with a laundry pre-sak (spt stain remver) prir t washing with a quality laundry prduct in the usual way. Alternative treatment: spnge with equal quantities f Methylated spirits and water. Old r bstinate stains may be sftened in glycerine befre treatment as abve. Sy Sauce Dry the sya sauce-stained area. Mix tgether 3 parts dishwash liquid with 1 part f a D limnene based prduct. Sak the stained area in this slutin fr minutes. After the sak time, rinse in water as ht as is suitable fr the fabric, then wash as usual, but preferably with a Laundry Liquid. This treatment may require repeating. Unknwn If a stain cannt be identified, treat with cl water first, then spnge with a gd quality laundry liquid slutin. Rinse well and if stain persists try equal quantities f Aqua Spray and Methylated spirits, testing first t nte effect n clur and fabric. As a last resrt, try mild bleach, e.g. Napisan type f sanitiser in ht water Urine These stains differ in cmpsitin, s that the same methd may nt be successful in all cases. Nrmal urine is usually acid. First sak in a slutin f Napisan type f sanitiser r spnge with a slutin f 30ml f husehld ammnia in 250ml warm water. Rinse well.

6 If this is nt successful, try equal quantities f vinegar and warm water in case the stain is alkaline. Rinse well in warm water. Fr stubbrn stains, spnge with diluted hydrgen perxide, then wash r spnge - rinse with clear warm water. Old stains may destry the clur f the clth and nthing can be dne t restre it in this case. Vmit Spnge with warm water cntaining a little ammnia. If extensive, dampen and sprinkle with pepsin pwder, leave half an hur, then rinse ff. OR sak washable articles in Napisan type f sanitiser. Wine Red Wine? Straight away pur White Wine n the affected area and sak up. Then wash in cld water and ammnia. White Wine? Wash in cld water and ammnia. Try mild measures first Rinse thrughly Wd SAP Turpentine (enamel paint thinners) 1 part and dishwash liquid 4 parts. Mix tgether and rub in t the sap stain. Leave fr 20 minutes and then wash in water and yur usual laundry detergent as ht as the fabric will allw. Yu may have t repeat this prcess.
