4 Inspiration New York Fashion Week BACK TO NATURE New York Fashion Week is where cutting edge fashion and hair merge into a celebration of style. This year, a return to nature ruled. A dream garden vibe was on display at Christian Siriano s show. Stylists, including Sebastian s What s Next Award-winning stylist Laura Rocha, used braids to complement Siriano s vision. The looks were bold yet feminine. Hair was pulled away from the face and swept back into braids, which were opened up with Sebastian s superelastic yet strong Microweb Fiber. Jeremy Scott s collection was about individualism. Stylists accentuated the face shape and hair personality of each model with center parting, beachy waves, braids and messy topknots. GHD tools and Wella EIMI products were on hand to create each look. The go-to for creating and enhancing curls and waves? GHD s Curve Soft Curl Iron, of course. For Michael Costello s line, a whimsical, romantic theme led to matte, textured, nest-like looks and fairytale braids. Olivia Garden tools and Mizani products were used, along with backcombing for major height and flat irons over braids for kink. Christian Siriano Jeremy Scott Comet Trails and Minimalism at Your Fingertips at New York Fashion Week New York Fashion Week was welcomed with simple yet stunning nail looks from CND and Morgan Taylor. For Jeremy Scott s collection, CND Co-Founder and Style Director Jan Arnold designed cometinspired looks, utilizing CND s Vinylux line. Hot Pop Pink and a blinding orange neon coming this summer coated almond-shaped nails, which were trailed by cosmetic-grade silver glitter down to the first knuckle. The Self Portrait line kept things classically simple, using Morgan Taylor Lacquers to create streamlined looks on rounded square nails. Shiny nude with one or two accent nails, featuring a thin black line and star decal, kept things beautifully understated.
