1 2017 Orakei School Art Exhibition & Sale November 10-12, 2017 Registration Form for Artists The Friends of Orakei School (FOS) invite you to register to participate in the 2017 Art Exhibition & Sale. Additional Exhbition event info is available at the website: Key Dates for your Diary: 21 August, 2017 Exhibition Registrations Close Please provide your Registration accompanied by a biography to help secure your inclusion in event advertising. 28 August, 2017 Hero Artwork Submission Nominate and provide picture of one HERO Artwork (this must be reserved exclusively for Orakei Art ex event display and sale) to ensure inclusion in our event programme and website 18 September, 2017 Marketing materials deadline All artist and artwork details must be submitted in full at this time to ensure inclusion in the event. 1 st and 2 nd November, 2017 Artwork Delivery Artwork to be delivered directly to the School Hall at Orakei School (refer map) 10 November, th and 12 th November, 2017 Exhibition Gala Opening Night Ticketed entry Exhibition & Sale Weekend Open to General Public free admittance 12 November, pm Collection of Unsold Artwork Artist Pick up of any UNSOLD artwork from the back of the Hall. Must pick up from the back door and sign out unsold artwork. Artist must be at Orakei School Hall between 5-6pm (unless return courier tickets have been supplied) WE ARE ORAKEI Whilst not mandatory for registration entry, we do recommend if you have any works that are related to locations in ORAKEI or AUCKLAND HARBOUR areas, that you include these for this event. We know that these are popular and sought after works for our local community.

2 EXHIBITION EVENT INFORMATION REGISTRATION FORM Registration details need to be completed by 21 August 2017 and marketing materials and FINAL details must be submitted no later than 18 September Any late completion of FINAL registration details may lead to exclusion of your work from the event. EVENT & ARTWORK PROMOTION The exhibition will be advertised utilizing participating artist s names and 1 image of your work ( hero piece). This hero work must be reserved for display at the event, with your other 2 pieces to be confirmed no later than 18 th of September. An image of your hero artwork must be submitted by 28 August, The image must be high-res and supplied in jpeg or pdf format and sent to orakeiartex@outlook.co.nz. Event promotion materials for advertising the exhibition will include flyers, posters, road signage and online promotion. A full printed catalogue of artists and artworks will also be available for visitors to the event. ARTIST BIOGRAPHY In addition to your registration form, a short artist biography it required. This must be submitted in an digital Word document format. Bios must be no longer than 150 words and should include any qualifications or honours earned, your predominant artistic genre and a brief history of your work s evolution. Please your biography with your registration form to orakeiartex@outlook.co.nz by 28 August, OPENING NIGHT GALA The event will open with an exclusive (tickets only) Gala Night evening, Friday 10 th Nov. All participating artists will receive a complimentary ticket to this event for the purpose mingling with potential buyers. Please RSVP via your registration form if you will be attending this event. NOMINATED COMMISSION FOR ORAKEI SCHOOL FUNDRAISING As this event is a fundraiser for Orakei School, it is expected that participating artists will contribute a percentage of their sales to the School. Please select a percentage commission for the School in the attached registration form (a minimum of 30%). The % rate can vary for each piece (please be specific in your registration form). We welcome 100% donations of artwork for sale. The funds raised from this commission percentage go towards fundraising for the School. Your generosity in allocating the % commission will be greatly appreciated by all those associated with Orakei School - especially our children. Thank you in advance. ARTWORK IDENTIFICATION & PREP All artwork needs to be tagged with your name, the artwork name and price. Please ensure all of your artwork has been made ready to hang (or supply us with a stand/easel if work is too heavy to hang). Please supply the appropriate screw eyes and cord and make sure your items are well packed for protection, to avoid any damage that may occur during handling and/or transportation. Please add any comments in your registration form if additional prints or artwork are available for sale and we will post appropriate signage next to your exhibited work to help facilitate ordering of those items. It is important that you clearly name all packaging if you would like it returned with your artworks please ensure your name is highly visible in multiple locations. We will endeavour to contact you over the course of the event should your artwork sell. You may wish to replace those sold items immediately with new artworks for sale. Orakei School PTA Charitable Trust reserves the right to decline exhibiting any piece of art work, and may limit/reduce the number of pieces entered/exhibited at our discretion.

3 SECURITY We employ professional security services, who will be monitoring the School hall during the exhibition. We will do our best to handle and store your pieces with great care. The Friends of Orakei School and Orakei School will not be liable for any loss or damage to your artwork whilst in transit or while located at the School. We advise all artists to have their own insurance cover for art works. DELIVERY OF ARTWORK All artworks must be delivered to the Orakei School Hall (and signed in) by Wed 1 and Thurs 2 of November, between 10am 2pm. Please ensure all packaging has the artist s name and address clearly marked in multiple locations on the outside of each piece in order to help us repack any unsold artwork with your specific packing materials. Artwork should be delivered directly to the School Hall (rear entrance), via the back gate Entrance B located 8B Ngaio Street (see map below for reference). PAYMENT TO ARTISTS Payment for your sold artworks will be sent either by Bank Deposit or by Cheque within 14 days of the Exhibition closing. Please nominate your preferred method of payment in the Registration Form and appropriate bank account details. PICK UP OF UNSOLD ITEMS Any unsold artwork MUST BE picked up on Sunday 12 November between 5pm - 6pm. Please go to the back entrance of the School Hall to sign out your work (refer to Map below). Storage is NOT available at the School for your artwork please ensure you make arrangements with a reliable contact prior to Sunday if you are unable to collect your own work.
