As part f this repsitining, M&O ASIA nw cmprises three integral cmpnents a curated exhibitin, the awards fr the Designer f the Year and the Rising Asian Talents, and the Interir Design and Lifestyle Summit. A CURATED EXHIBITION The first tw editins f M&O ASIA have seen a trend in their visitr prfile that reflects Asia s rapidly grwing prperty develpment, real estate, and hspitality industries. 50 percent f the visitrs t the 2015 salns were frm these sectrs, resulting in a uniquely Asian visitr prfile. With this in mind, the curated exhibitin n ffer at M&O ASIA serves as a targeted shwcase that prvides inspiratin and cncepts fr the industry specifiers. With a ttal f 180 brands, the exhibitin presents the multiple ways in which brands can wrk tgether with specifiers t prvide innvative custmised design slutins t bring their prjects t life. One such brand is Singapre s The Rug Maker, which has turned traditinal rug making int a high-end interir design cncept. Their latest cllectin, Trpical, was designed by lcal design cllective utfstck and exemplifies the type f bespke artisanship that wuld serve the needs f specifiers such as hteliers and interir designers. Internatinal brands, such as Drnbracht and Alape frm Germany and the 22 ceramics brands at the Italian Ceramics Pavilin, will als prvide custmised slutins t specifiers. M&O ASIA als features special installatins t illustrate hw different bespke design experiences are cnceived and develped. Framed, by multi-disciplinary Singaprean designer Terence Chan f Terre, experiments with the blurring f spaces t create a versatile and adaptable design achieved thrugh the deft cntrl f light, materials, prprtins, 2

Every year M&O will present fur Designers f the Year: tw fr M&O PARIS (January and September), ne fr M&O ASIA, and ne fr M&O AMERICAS. Designers f the Year are renwned persnalities in the wrld f design creatin and innvatin, architecture and interir architecture. M&O ASIA prudly annunces André Fu as the 2016 Designer f the Year. One f the wrld s mst sught-after architects/designers, Fu is the architect behind majr luxury htels such as The Upper Huse in Hng Kng and the Fullertn Bay Htel in Singapre, as well as restaurants such as Kiku at the Fur Seasns Seul and Mtif in Tky. One f his frtes is his ability t marry elements utside f architecture r interir design int a unified whle. Fr M&O ASIA, André Fu presents a preview f SKYLINER, an artisanal cllectin f bathrm fittings crafted in cllabratin with US luxury bathrm brand Cper & Graham. The SKYLINER cllectin seeks t embrace the spirit f the mdern Asian city, interpreting it as a series f pure frms that interlck, akin t cntemprary building frms. Fu has als recently launched a lifestyle brand called André Fu Living (AFL), which cmprises a cllectin f key design pieces, designed in cllabratins with unique artisans whm he has selected. These cllabratins can be seen at his special installatin called Lifestyle Frm Within. RISING ASIAN TALENTS In the last few mnths, the M&O ASIA team had wrked with a number f experienced design curatrs, designers and media n the nminatin and selectin f prmising designers 3

The 2016 winners f the Rising Asian Talents Awards are LAB DE STU (Australia), Chihir Tanaka (Japan), Stanley Ruiz (Philippines), Lekker Architects (Singapre), KIMU (Taiwan) and Ease Embridery Design (Thailand). The winners were selected fr the quality f their innvative thinking. Each f them will present their design cncepts r prducts at the saln. INTERIOR DESIGN AND LIFESTYLE SUMMIT A key fcus f this year s Summit is n the design prjects and expertise f the regin, with all f its speakers either riginating frm r being based in the Asia-Pacific. In additin, the Summit will als fcus n ffering a greater depth f cnversatin as well as an insider perspective n the intricate develpment f key markets. The tpics cvered will span 20 different cnferences divided int five distinct categries Keynte; Best f Interir Design; Cnversatin; Agenda; and Cuntry Fcus.
